Thank you to Ms. Riley,and her high school foods class, for baking the cupcakes and making the frosting for us to turn them into what looked like a pot of gold!!!

We love Dr. Seuss books!

We love learning about Dr. Seuss and reading his stories! We made a venn diagram as a class to compare/contrast Dr. Seuss stories with fairytales that we are familiar with.  As a class we decided those stories have quite a bit in common such as they both have: magic, funny things happening, fiction text, problems happening in the story, etc.  I am so proud of my students and what they are learning!!!

March is reading month and our theme is Reading Rocks!!! You will find a pink activities chart in your child's folder coming home today. This paper does not need to be returned it just lists some fun reading activities for students to do at home! We will be having theme dress up days every Friday in March.

Valentine's Day Party!

What a fun Valentine's Day party we had!!!  Thank you to all the families involved in helping make our party a success!!!  Thank you to Ashlee, our room parent, for organizing this special event for our classroom!!! Making memories together is the best!!!

Winners of Box Tops Contest!!!

THANK YOU to all of our families!!!!!We finished the box tops contest!  Thank you for helping collect box tops and getting students excited to participate.  I love this easy way for us all to work together to earn money for our school!  

We collected a total of 7,530 box tops which will get us a check for $753.  Great job!

The classroom winner was Miss Bader's class... congrats!  They had a total of 1,146 box tops.  Wow!  Great job!  You have earned a $50 gift card to the book fair during the spring carnival.  

The grade level winner was Kindergarten!  They rocked it with a whopping total of 3,026 box tops.  Awesome job.  They will get to celebrate with a pizza party! Stewart students and staff are the best!
