Celebrating St. Patrick's day!

We were sure seeing a lot of green today celebrating St. Patrick's Day and celebrating our "incredible" reading month!  We had so much fun looking for leprechauns, one even brought us gold coins this morning!!!
Our classroom enjoyed reading buddy time upstairs with Mrs. Murphy's class!

Meeting baby chicks!

Thank you to Hills bank for bringing in baby chicks for us to see.  We learned all about the life cycle of a chicken and had a chance to see and ask questions about the baby chicks.  What a great experience!!!

Who helps in the garden?

Ms. Holz helped us put on a play about what animals help keep a garden growing.  We each got to have a part in the play and find out who are the insect or animal helpers, and who might be the animal or insect destroyers that hurt the garden.

Decorating our pots of gold cupcakes!

We had such a great time decorating our pots of gold cupcakes with our HS foods class buddies today!
After we decorated our cupcakes, we had time to read with our high school friends, what a fun time we had together!!!

Author visit!

Author Cathy Hall-Nottoli came and visited Stewart Elementary today.  She inspired our kids to become authors and illustrators!!  We enjoyed listening to her book and learning about what it takes to be an author!

We love to read Dr. Seuss books!

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!  We are really enjoying reading to partners, to the class, and to ourselves with all of our Dr. Seuss books.  What an amazing transformation to see such great readers in our classroom!!!
